Opened to the public in 2006, Smyles & Fish is a virtual museum featuring both solo works and collaborations by artists, writers, filmmakers and designers. The museum's permanent collection is home to plastic arts of considerable variety, new and classic works of literature and journalism, original radio-plays, short films, as well as commentary, cartoons, and profiles by S&F pundits from across the globe.

We encourage visitors to wander freely through our galleries and multi-media exhibition center, read quietly from our collections in our central library, walk the grounds of S&F Village where the museum gift shop is located (accessible by the site's main atrium), view the races taking place daily at the Derby Fairgrounds, or spin the wheel of Fate, one of the museum's oldest and most treasured installations. When you've tired from your tour with us, please take a few moments to relax in our visitors' lounge before proceeding to the Southern terrace for a view of our open air sculpture garden.

Whether you are a frequent guest at the museum or visiting us for the first time, Smyles & Fish welcomes and invites you to return again soon.
